## Professional services

### Coaching for greater self-understanding and choice

Coaching can help you make sense of difficult patterns, respond to yourself with more compassion, and find approaches that fit your life — without implying that every client will have the same outcome.

### 1. Bilingual trauma recovery coaching

*Neurodiversity-affirming coaching*

A safe, client-led space for reflection and healing in English or Spanish, with psychoeducation tailored to your goals. Consultation is also available for mental health professionals interested in these areas of expertise.

### 2. Aviation industry professionals

Ethical and completely confidential mental health support for aviation professionals — without diagnosis or medication.

### 3. LGBTQIA+ support

Inclusive, affirming support for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

### 4. Internal Family Systems (IFS)

A non-pathologizing, evidence-based model that looks to your own Self for leadership, clarity, and direction — a natural fit for a coaching relationship.

[Watch a short introduction to IFS](https://youtu.be/6X45Y74blSg?si=sGZfpb_DhcNUUrwa)

**IFS in a trauma recovery coaching context**

Trauma recovery coaching with IFS can help you notice your parts, build a kinder relationship with them, and strengthen your access to Self (your grounded inner core). If it ever seems that clinical care would serve you better, I will encourage you to seek a licensed mental health professional and can continue to support you alongside that work when and if still fits.

### 5. IFS practice & peer-support groups

Small by design — group size is deliberately limited to maximize impact and connection.

### 6. Psychedelic preparation & integration

Preparation and post-experience integration using IFS and somatic practices for those who choose psychedelic-assisted healing.

### 7. High-control groups & coercive control

Experience, tools, and resources to untangle coercive control and discover who you are beyond the group’s influence.

### 8. Performing artists

Confidential support for touring and performing artists — and for anyone exploring artistic expression, at any skill level.

## How I work

### A collaborative space for the change you are hoping for.

You may be hoping for more clarity, calmer days, or a kinder relationship with yourself. Trauma recovery coaching is a collaborative, non-pathologizing space where you set the direction — no diagnosis, no treatment plans, no hierarchy — and a certified practitioner walks beside you.

### Client-led, always

You set the recovery goals. The answers already exist in you — coaching helps you uncover them.

### Nothing to pathologize

Trauma responses are normal reactions to abnormal experiences. You will never be labeled disordered or ill here.

### Peers, not a hierarchy

No power differential, no prescribed treatment plans. We work together as equals, within a clear ethical scope.

### How IFS and somatic practices may support the work

Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic practices are some of the ways this work can take shape. IFS-informed coaching can help you notice your inner parts, build a kinder relationship with them, and strengthen your access to Self — your grounded inner core. Somatic practices can help you notice what your body is telling you. These are tools in service of your goals, not a fixed program, and we will use only what feels supportive for you.

### Neurodiversity-affirming coaching

My work is neurodiversity-affirming. I respect different ways of thinking, communicating, sensing, and relating, and collaborate with each client to adapt our work to their needs—without treating difference itself as a problem.

## Frequently asked questions

### Everything you might want to ask first.

### 1. Who is behind Quantesus Consulting LLC? Are you a coach or a therapist?

Quantesus is led by Eric, a Certified Trauma Care Practitioner (mental health coach) and secular [IFS Level 2 Practitioner](https://ifs-institute.com/practitioners/all/143358) who works interchangeably in English and Spanish.

Coaching is a distinct healing modality. Eric is not a licensed psychotherapist, and his guidance does not replace clinical diagnosis or treatment by a medical doctor, psychologist, or psychiatrist.

### 2. What is a trauma care practitioner? What does the certification mean?

Certified Trauma Care Practitioners are mental health professionals who use coaching — quite different from motivational or business coaching — to support recovery from emotional trauma.

Although coaching is currently unregulated, formal certification demonstrates proven proficiency, requires adherence to a [Code of Ethics](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1X63TO5_rweoewmu6bxDLAUGulHJAsvhvGngpEZ8EYYk/edit?usp=sharing), and provides a formal, well-documented grievance process.

### 3. How is trauma recovery coaching different from other coaching or traditional therapy?

- **Non-pathologizing.** Trauma responses are normal reactions to abnormal experiences — never labels of disorder or illness.
- **No power differential.** We work as peers and equals, in a mutual, collaborative relationship.
- **Always client-led.** You have an innate capacity to heal; we set recovery goals together rather than imposing treatment plans or timelines.
- **No single theory.** Every recovery journey is unique — your experience is the framework, not a school of thought.
- **Clear scope.** Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental illness, advise on medication, or work outside their competence. Eric works with individual adults only — not minors, families, or couples.

### 4. Do you offer traditional business coaching or life coaching as well?

Not in the traditional sense. Eric can help you find clarity about your direction and remove barriers in your way — but he will not tell you what to do or treat profit as the only goal.

With undergraduate studies in finance, accounting, and human resources and nearly three decades working in those fields, he understands professional and workplace challenges firsthand.

### 5. What about confidentiality? Is what we discuss kept private?

Yes. Client relationships, session topics, and personal information are never disclosed, **unless**:

- a client is a danger to themselves or someone else;
- the client gives written consent, or a valid subpoena is received;
- abuse of an elder, minor, or disabled person comes to light.

General, non-identifying themes may be discussed within professional consultation — a standard forum where coaches seek resources and referrals to serve clients better.

### 6. Do you use AI tools during sessions? Is my data captured or analyzed by AI?

No. Automated assistants or artificial intelligence of any kind are not used to note, record, or analyze sessions. Until the long-term privacy implications of these tools are fully understood they are deliberately excluded.

### 7. What should I look for in a coach / consultant?

Look for someone you trust enough to speak freely — without editing your story to please them or avoid judgment — and someone with the skill and personal depth to collaborate with you on the changes you want. Complete honesty in a confidential setting are key to a successful coaching relationship.

### 8. What type of clients do you aim to help?

Eric works exclusively with **individual adults (21+)** — not minors or couples. As a trauma survivor himself, he brings lived experience and formal training to religious trauma, coercive control and high-control groups, childhood neglect, domestic violence, sexual assault, and LGBTQIA+ issues.

As a former (raised-in) member of a high-control group (aka “cult”), Eric has a special connection with **second- and multi-generation cult survivors** — people born into a group, or brought into a high-control group very early, with no other point of reference.

He has also worked effectively with **licensed therapists** seeking a diagnosis-free space, **parents**, **young adults** finding their direction, **commercial pilots**, and **performing artists**.

### 9. What motivated you to train for and offer this type of consulting?

Eric is a trauma survivor who benefited immensely from highly ethical psychotherapy — including Internal Family Systems, *legal* psychedelic-assisted therapy, and several energy and body-work modalities. Having done (and continuing) his own recovery work alongside extensive formal training, he is prepared to help others through coaching.

### 10. What formal education or training have you completed?

- Trauma recovery coaching certification from the [Global Trauma Institute](https://www.globaltraumainstitute.com/profile/eric-ramirez) (GTI).
- IFS Level 1 and [IFS Level 2 training](https://ifs-institute.com/practitioners/all/143358) from the IFS Institute; currently on the Institute’s certification track (expected in late 2026), with ongoing formal consultation.
- Volunteer Program Assistant for IFS Level 1 courses in English and Spanish, supporting lead trainers including Jory Agate, Analia Castaños-Davis, Fatimah Finney, Irina Diyankova, and Mel Costa.
- Active member of the [International Cultic Studies Association](https://internationalculticstudies.org/) and alumnus of [recovery programs led by Dr. Janja Lalich](https://www.lalichcenter.org/our-services).
- Advanced IFS training for survivors of emotional neglect (IFSCA), plus formal training in Reiki, somatic practices, non-violent communication, and psychedelic preparation and integration.
- Regular professional consultation with leading experts such as Frank Anderson, Achara Tarfa, Ellie Cunanan-Petty, Margaret Conley, and Agustín Aguirre.
- Undergraduate studies in finance, accounting, and management science.

### 11. Where is your office located? When are you open?

The practice is based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area but works **exclusively online** with clients worldwide. Availability spans different days and times to accommodate multiple time zones, and ongoing clients settle into a fixed, regular meeting time.

Sessions run on Zoom with deliberate encryption and privacy measures. You will need a safe, quiet space without interruptions and a stable internet connection.

### 12. What recourse do I have if I have a compliment, complaint or concern?

You can read GTI’s [Code of Ethics and grievance process](/global-trauma-institute-code-of-ethics.pdf). To report an ethical violation, contact the chairperson of the Global Trauma Institute’s Professional Standards Committee, Dr. Jai Belton, at [drjbelton@globaltraumainstitute.com](mailto:drjbelton@globaltraumainstitute.com).

### 13. What insurance do you accept? How can I pay? What is your refund policy?

Quantesus does not accept insurance. Payment is made via PayPal, and only **after** a free initial mutual interview where you can ask every question and decide whether we are a good match — before purchasing anything.

There are no long-term commitments. Discounted monthly programs become available after at least three sessions, so you know exactly what you are buying.

Unused prepaid sessions are refundable, subject to the cancellation policy: cancel in writing — via the buttons in your confirmation email, by email, or through the client portal — at least **24 hours in advance** to reschedule once within 30 days. Appointments missed without proper notice are not refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

### 14. Where can I follow Quantesus on social media?

Quantesus does not maintain an active social media presence or communicate with clients through social platforms — all public updates are published on this website. A reference profile exists on [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/quantesus-consulting-llc), but it is not used for client communication.

## Your first conversation

### What to expect from a mutual interview

Every engagement begins with a free mutual interview — a relaxed, two-way conversation, not a sales call. Here is how it usually unfolds.

1. **I listen to you** — We start with where you are. I will listen to your current needs, your situation, and what brought you to consider coaching — at your pace, without pressure.
2. **How I work** — I will explain my client-led approach, my Code of Ethics, and the formal grievance process, so you know exactly how I operate and what protections you have.
3. **You interview me** — This is a mutual interview. You will have ample time to ask me anything — about my experience, my approach, or anything else that matters to you.
4. **A taste of the work** — If it feels right and you are curious, we may spend a few minutes with a brief experiential portion. This may include Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other tools I use in sessions, such as somatic practices, so you can sense what working together might feel like.
5. **We decide together** — At the end, we decide together whether we are a good fit. There is no obligation either way.
6. **If we are not a fit** — If we are not, or if you would benefit from a different kind of support, I can offer referrals to other mental-health providers if you would like me to.

**Scheduling** Mutual interviews are usually scheduled within one or two weeks of your request, depending on availability.
